Musical Performances on the Back Porch Stage:
Ian Cory performs at 11am.
Ian Cory has made a lifetime commitment to writing songs that make the heart swell. He has spent the last 10 years touring and travelling Europe, the United States and Canada along with his brother, Jared Green, and The Howlin (no “g”) Brothers. Cory’s writing style is melancholy mixed with hope, defeat, and perseverance all at once. A 7-inch vinyl is set to be released on December 9th through Mastermind Records.
The Danberrys performs at 12:30pm.
‘I can’t get up there and sing something that doesn’t move me,’ says Dorothy Daniel, the tambourine-shaking, stargazing, breezy voiced front woman that makes up half of The Danberrys. Hailing from the surrounds of Nashville TN, Dorothy and husband Ben DeBerry (guitar/vocals) come together to create a unique entwining of styles. Acoustically driven, their sound spirals through bluegrass with the backbeat of funk, the patient lope of blues, and glimpses of pop.
The Danberrys have appeared at many festivals throughout the Southeast – including the CMA Festival, the International Bluegrass Music Association festival, the Americana Music Festival and many more. In 2017, they will embark on their first international tours to the UK and New Zealand.
Luke Amelang performs at 2:30pm.
Luke Amelang is a unique voice in modern country music. His writing is based in the traditions of southern folk, blues, and traditional country. From ballads of love and loss to swinging numbers about sasquatches and aliens, Luke’s songs come from a place that is familiar to anyone with an appreciation for the common thread of life that bonds us all together.
