In 1900 the Thompson family built this 2 story Stone House for their family to live in. It was built in the little community of Whites Creek Tennessee just outside of Downtown Nashville. The house was part of a dairy farm operation. This farm was the first to have mechanical milkers and an elevated platform for the cows to walk on. The Johnson family, Fred and Movaline Johnson, raised their family here until 1986 when Ken Dudney and Barbara Mandrell Dudney purchased the home and 130 acre farm to build what would become the FONTANEL mansion the worlds largest log Home. The Mandrells lived in the Stone House while they built their log Mansion in the hills behind the farm. Once they moved in to the mansion the Stone House was used as a guest house. Bob Hope once stayed in this house. In the early 2000’s Big Kenny of country duo BIG & RICH and his wife Christiev moved into the stone house and renovated it. Kenny himself refinished the historic hardwood floors, removed walls to give the home a more open floor plan, and renovated two bedrooms upstairs.
